AAbove all things, I thank God for blessing me with the gift, skills, and drive to create. For as early as I can remember, I have always had my hands in something. Once my imagination sparks, my hands are never too far behind. One of my fondest memories of creating was at the age of 13. The project was simple; my teacher told us to bring our best display of the solar system for our final grade. Maybe I was a bit extra... But what's a solar system if it's not 3D, vibrant, and self-rotating? My project turned out amazing, but my teacher didn't believe I did it. She was sold on the idea that I paid to have it made and didn't want to accept it. Though I had to fight for my grade, that moment helped me realize my gift to create at an early age. Now I get to share my gift with others through my products while highlighting the importance of self-care. I pride myself on ensuring every item is thoughtfully curated and made with love. Customers trust me to provide products that are key to their overall self-care, and I don't take that lightly.

Our Story

Sweets & Scrubs was founded in 2018 by Courtney (our CEO) and her daughter, Ka'Meriyah (the real boss). They started as a mother and daughter bonding through creativity and grew from there. The duo spent their time in the kitchen whipping up different skincare products and edible treats. Soon, their once hobby grew into a full-blown business due to the high demand for their products locally. But as we all know, food and skincare don't play well and can cause conflict when launching a business. So the mother-daughter duo decided to stick with what they couldn't let go of, skincare products with a focus on self-care. They decided they needed an extra pair of hands and made it a real family affair. The duo turned into a trio and brought in Khalid (Courtney's Brother). While Courtney and Ka'Meriyah focus on everything operations, Khalid's position is quite unique. He will often lend his modeling skills and very bold (and we do mean very bold) opinions for improvements. As he would say, he is the voice for the customers.
